WorkAccord No Fee & Low-Fee Offerings
Making Accord Accessible
At WorkAccord, we believe that access to high-quality, structured dispute resolution should not be limited by financial barriers. In line with our values of ethical governance, care, and community responsibility, we offer a limited number of pro bono (no cost) and low-cost dispute resolution services each year for eligible matters.
These services are provided using our governance-framed Accord model, which emphasises clarity, cooperation, and constructive outcomes. While not every matter will be suitable, we welcome inquiries where early support may prevent unnecessary escalation, cost, or harm.
What We Offer
Community and Council Disputes
We offer pro bono or low-cost dispute resolution services for eligible community-level disputes, especially those involving:
Neighbours, local associations, or community groups
Issues involving council by-laws, nuisance complaints, or local land use
Matters where early, structured dialogue can prevent formal enforcement action
Note: We are currently focused on the Scenic Rim and surrounding regions, and welcome referrals from local councils, community workers, and legal centres.
Veterans and Ex-Service Community Matters
As part of our commitment to relational justice, we offer pro bono ADR support to:
Veterans and their families in disputes connected to services, advocacy, or rehabilitation
Matters referred by veterans’ organisations or advocates
Cases that benefit from a structured, governance-sensitive mediation or case-sounding approach
These services are provided independently but may complement advocacy, compensation, or support processes.
Small Estates and Family-Limited Property Matters
We may offer pro bono or low-cost dispute resolution where:
The estate is modest and would not support litigation
The parties are willing to explore resolution in good faith
The issue involves clarity of roles, ethical concerns, or family governance (not contested probate)
The focus is on preserving relationships and finding accord—not determining legal entitlements.
Who Is Eligible?
Eligibility is assessed case-by-case. Factors we consider include:
Financial hardship or lack of access to other dispute resolution pathways
The matter’s alignment with WorkAccord’s governance-framed ADR approach
Willingness of all parties to participate in good faith
Referrals from trusted professionals, community organisations, or legal support services
